The agreement between you and Market2Me (Pty) Ltd when you use the platform.
1. About Market2Me
Market2Me is an online marketplace that connects clients with vetted freelance entertainment and media professionals including DJs, photographers, videographers and barmen. Market2Me is operated by Market2Me (Pty) Ltd, Cape Town, South Africa. By using our platform you agree to these terms.
2. Who Can Use the Platform
You must be 18 years or older to create an account or make a booking on Market2Me. By registering you confirm that the information you provide is accurate and complete.
3. Bookings
All bookings are requests until confirmed by the freelancer. A booking is only confirmed once the freelancer accepts and you receive a confirmation. Market2Me acts as an intermediary and is not a party to the agreement between the client and the freelancer.
4. Payments
Market2Me facilitates the booking process. Payment terms are agreed with each party and communicated at the time of booking.
5. Cancellations and Refunds
Cancellations must be requested at least 48 hours before the event by contacting info@market2me.co.za. Refunds are assessed on a case by case basis depending on timing and circumstances. Market2Me reserves the right to apply a cancellation fee. If a freelancer cancels a confirmed booking, Market2Me will endeavour to find a replacement or issue a full refund.
6. Freelancer Obligations
Freelancers on Market2Me must maintain professional conduct at all times. Freelancers must honour confirmed bookings, arrive on time, and deliver the agreed service. Failure to do so may result in removal from the platform and forfeiture of payment.
7. Client Obligations
Clients must provide accurate event information at the time of booking. Clients are responsible for ensuring a safe and suitable working environment for the freelancer at the event.
8. Reviews
Reviews may only be submitted by clients who have completed a booking. Reviews must be honest and based on genuine experience. Market2Me reserves the right to remove reviews that are abusive, fraudulent or in violation of these terms.
9. Intellectual Property
Content created by freelancers at events booked through Market2Me remains the intellectual property of the freelancer unless otherwise agreed in writing between the client and freelancer directly.
10. Limitation of Liability
Market2Me is a platform facilitating connections between clients and freelancers. We do not guarantee the outcome of any booking or event. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Market2Me is not liable for any loss, damage or disappointment arising from bookings made through the platform.
11. Changes to These Terms
Market2Me reserves the right to update these terms at any time. Continued use of the platform after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
